years of joy and happiness. She helped us bury our Lucy, stayed with us and
comforted us during our grief. She did everything she could to find the
cause of her illness, recommend specialists but whose cause seemed to be
undefinable.

Companion have been a delight to work with. He diagnosed Arnie's hookworms
and got rid of them immediately, and did the surgery on Arnie's cherry eye
perfectly. We highly recommend Companion as a basset friendly vet in NJ.Windy M. Jennings

comments: Dr. Northrop treats all breeds of dogs, however she is very knowledgable about basset hounds due to growing up and raising many of them. She is extremely compassionate as are all the others. Of all the years of owning animals, I have never recalled any other animal hospital be so wonderful with dogs. they take there time with treating your pet and are always very thorough with explaining things to you. the best thing about marlton animal hospital, is that they greet your pet in the waiting room with a big smile and come and get them as if they are coming out to get a human in an actual doctors office. secondly, I think it is absolutely wonderful that they get down on the floor with your pet and not place them on the table. they will if necessary, but by not doing this and a quick exam it makes the overall experiece for your pet a lot less stressful. my vet could see my dog was terrified so what she did to ease his stress was sit on the floor and temp him with treat so she could form a trusting bond with him. eventually that did take place and he aloud her to exam him without a mussle which is a first ever for him. this is my husbands dog who finally left where he was going to go to marlton. after seeing how they treated Monty it didn't take much of an effort to get my husband to switch vet practices.
