Falls|SD|57105|USA|605-339-9261||Heather Ellyson||The whole staff at All
Animal Pet Hospital are great and it's easy to see that every single
person that works there absolutely loves animals and loves what they do
for a living! I now have a basset hound, Zues, that I have recently
adopted from the Pound. He is 6 months old and just got neutered today.
The staff took great care of him, and even spoiled him rotten with
behind-the-ear-rubs all day. I choose them for my dog because they
euthenized our beloved pet rat, Sally. A lot of people hate rats and
only buy them for snake food. But, our pet rat meant the world to us.
Unfortunately, she developed a very large tumor and couldn't walk very
well. I chose a vet close to my home to put her to sleep. A few days
later, I received a sympathy card signed by the whole staff. I don't
think any other animal hospital could top that. Dr. Stephanie Wesely and

were our hearts. He suffered from chronic pneumonia and every bug that
came along. We sought out Vet Schools in Florida and New York and all
between searching for a Vet who could help. Everyone wrote him off and
prepared us to lose him. Oscar was losing weight fast and begged us to
help him with those soulful Bassett eyes. Then our groomer suggested Dr.
P.C. Hightman DVM of Brentwood Animal Clinic 4605 Brentwood Avenue,

skeptical too...but believe us... this vet saved our Bassett's life! In
a few very short weeks, our "Oscar" was on his way back to us. Bright
eyes, healed lungs, boosted immune system, happy dog. That was two years
ago and we are so grateful to have our Oscar as part of our family. Dr.

drive to Jacksonville for this special vet's care. When Oscar was so

They even made a $ donation in her name to The Ohio Animal Health

animals. I do not know if they do this for all their clients that pass,
but we had become a special team with them in her care and the care of

his lungs and an enlarged heart. She has called us every day to check on
him, she even had someone swab our apartment for a testing lab and sent
it so that we can bring charges up against our landlord. Sherlock just
had his spleen taken out this week. Dr. Emily knew we missed him and

a human in an actual doctors office. secondly, I think it is absolutely
wonderful that they get down on the floor with your pet and not place
them on the table. they will if necessary, but by not doing this and a
quick exam it makes the overall experiece for your pet a lot less
stressful. my vet could see my dog was terrified so what she did to ease

were. We have been unable to find a vet that we like even half as much
at our new home. Even since we moved, Dr. Smith has helped us a couple
times when I couldn't find answers here. Jake, my basset, loved to go
there. When we got to door his tail would be wagging away. When we
walked in, he headed right behind the counter looking for the love and
bellyrubs that he knew he was sure to get. Our "kids" were always
treated with caring and compassion. We would highly recommend Dr. Smith
and her crew to anyone. Please note that Dr. Smith has moved and is no
longer at the address given in your listing. We took our limping Basset
to her and found her much more attune to his problem thatn our regular
vet who is wonderful with our cats, but just not aware of Basset special

fore years so their expertise is wonderful. In fact the entire staff
dotes on our seniors. By the way Gretta has just lost a toe because of a
malignancy. Dr. Bob caught this early enough that she didn't lose a
foot. Basset problems weve found are ears, eyes(cataracts) weight, and
pancreatitis For ear problems we've used a mix of 3/4parts alcohol and
1/4 part vineagar. Both dogs recognize the bottle but understand that
after 2 or 3 days of ministration they feel alot better. Sometimes their
symptoms appear as red eyes. Allergies abound for these hounds so do not
ignore any symptoms. In general, we've found that Bassets like most
hounds, are sustained by love; food is just an ammendment (re M.

guys....They see probably 95% of Cascadia Basset Rescue's dogs, as well
as my personal dogs. They are generous with time and advice, on the
phone or in person. They are also extremely generous to rescue,
discounting services for foster dogs substantially.
They are,
basically, an basic veterinary practice. Some things, like ultrasounds,
etc...have to be referred out. This helps them keep their costs lower,
since their overhead is lower. There is an excellent, full service
critical care clinic that provides these additional services only a few
miles away. They are spendy, but good when you need them - it's the
Puget Sound Pet Pavilion.
For everyday vet care, including
surgeries, and emergency care as well as exams, diagnostics, etc...I
can't say enough good things about Edgewood....
They are also
reasonable in terms of recommending cost effective treatments first, and
only stepping up to the "big guns" if the basic treatment doesn't work.
